I finally fulfilled one of my lifelong dreams. Friday Feb. 15 at 8:30pm. It was amazing. I walked on cloud nine the whole day leading up to it and the next 24 hours after.
I used that weekend to take a vacation. It was very stressful at first. My train to Chicago was to be delayed until 7pm. So I drove to Chicago instead. On the way I drove way too fast and sang way too loud. But it was very empowering. I walked around Chicago waiting for 8pm to come around. It seemed like the hours passed so slowly.
Finally at 5:30pm I ate some Thai food and went up to my hotel room to get ready. I arrived at the United Center around 6:15pm. Stood in line.
Then I bought my merchandise and went to the bathroom. I began to cry because it was becoming more real. I sat patiently for the next two hours just thinking of nothing. It was the first time in months my mind was so clear.
Then at 8:30pm it began. The 5 people I have spent my life adoring came up from the ground. The Spice Girls!

I cannot describe the concert. All I can tell people is: AMAZING! I am at a loss for words as to what to say.
No matter people’s opinions of them, I will always be the biggest fan. The show was amazing. I still feel like it didn’t happen. It was too surreal. They were right in front of me and I have 450 pictures to prove it. But still it feels like a dream.
I went back to my hotel room that night and cried because it was amazing. Then I fell asleep. Around 5am I woke up thinking “I just saw the spice girls.” I couldn’t believe it.
Saturday morning I went to Dunkin’ Donuts and packed my suitcase.
I stopped at Trader Joe’s to stock up on food I cannot find in Iowa. Then I headed back West.
I stopped at the Chicago Outlets and did some shopping. But the whole time I was floating, the smile on my face could not be wiped away.
I finally came home and relaxed. But still today three days later I need someone to pinch me.
I still feel their Girl Power working on me when other things are seeping in.
“You may feel weak
But you are strong
Don’t you give up girl”
